Get ready to enter the Hive Mind as a new series courtesy of Iron Dragon TV founder Janell Vela Smith (above) has been announced.
Meshing sci-fi and martial arts action, the new series will be set in a near-future dystopia ruled by the “Gifted,” genetically enhanced people with special abilities. The story follows a mother and daughter at war with each other over control of the planet and what is best for humanity.
Smith will serve as both producer and action director on the series with Dana Cowden also serving as a producer. The two had worked together on The Ohryis Project, which stars Eric Roberts, Juliet Chevelle, and Skeeta Jenkins.
Production on the series is set to begin in October in Austin, Texas. Keep an eye out here as I will be chatting with Janell Vela Smith on the project in the foreseeable future.
